Dacoit fails to enjoy booty, hurt in blast
Sarlahi, October 27:
Four persons, including a dacoit, were injured when a group of armed robbers detonated a bomb after looting cash and valuables from a shop in Lalbandi bazaar of Sarlahi on Sunday night.
“A group of six robbers, who came on three motorbikes, looted Rs 250,000 and 20 tolas of golden ornaments from the shop and house of Kusheshwor Shah in Lalbandi-1.
The dacoits detonated a bomb before fleeing the scene,” said SI Dan Bahadur Bhujel of Lalbandi police post.
One of the dacoits, Rameshwor Singh Danuwar of Manarwa Basti in Ishorwpur VDC-8, lost both his palms in the blast, police said, adding that Danuwar has accepted his involvement in the loot.
Remi Chaudhary, Budhan Raya and Raj Narayan Chaudhary’s 20-year-old son of Jabdi VDC-8 were injured in the blast, SI Bhujel said, adding that Danuwar is being treated in Tri-Chandra Hospital in Malangawa and others are being treated in Area Health Post, Lalbandi.
“Other dacoits have been identified and search is on to nab them,” SI Bhujel said.
