GORKHA: UCPN–Maoist Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the former leader of his party Dr Baburam Bhattarai of deceiving his voters.

Leader Bhattarai decided to quit the party ignoring the sentiments of his voters of Gorkha Constituency no. 1 who elected him to the Constituent Assembly with overwhelming victory, Dahal said, adding this has hurt the sentiments of voters.

It may be noted that Dr Bhattarai denounced the UCPN-Maoist to form his self proclaimed party called 'New Force.

The UCPN-M Chair, who is presently here in course of party cadres' training, argued that Bhattarai won the election only because he was representing the UCPN-M.

Speaking at a press meet today, Chairman Dahal hinted at the possibility of forming a consensus government with the participation of the Nepali Congress after the latter's General Convention scheduled to be held from March 3-6.
