Dalits here, demanding action against non-Dalits who beat up Dalits for entering the Shaileshwori temple, locked up the far western regional administration office today.

They alleged that the culprits have not been brought to book even after four

days and the local administration set them free after they were gheraoed. Deputy regional administrator, Basanta Bhattarai, said the lock-out was sudden, adding he had directed the Doti Chief District Officer to initiate necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, different human rights organisations are monitoring the Shaileshwori temple incident.
