DAO monitoring LPG distribution in Kailali

DHANGADHI: Kailali District Administration Office has implemented a new system for the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas following the acute shortage of cooking gas in the district.

The DAO has strictly directed the dealers for the implementation of the new system effective from Thursday. The dealers have been directed to keep sales records without while distributing cooking gas to consumers. Chief District Officer Mohan Chapagain said his office had directed the concerned department to provide one cylinder per family.

The DAO has also directed the dealers to make the card system mandatory, maintain record of empty cylinders, provide new cylinder to the consumers only after they submit the empty cylinder, among others, as part of the new system. CDO Chapagain added that his office would take stern action against the dealers if found involved in black marketing, creating artificial shortage of gas, among others.

He informed that the representatives of DAO, Quality Control Office, Commerce Offices and other concerned bodies would inspect whether the directive has been implemented.
