Darwang-Dhorpatan track road opens

BABIYACHAUR, MYAGDI: A track road has been opened to connect Beni — the district headquarters of Myagdi — to Dhorpatan area of Baglung district.

The 18-kilometre track road connects Darwang to Dorpatan via Muna-Bima-Takam route. The Road Division Office, Baglung has also started black topping the 24 km Beni-Darwang road which was constructed a decade ago.

The District Coordination Committee constructed the Darwang-Bima-Takam-Muna track under the Agriculture Road Project.

Project’s technician, Krishna Raya, said construction of the track road which was launched in 2010 from Darwang has reached Muna via Bim and Takam route.

He added that after further extension of seven kilometers, the road will reach Dorpatan’s border via Lulang area. The authorities have spent Rs 47.5 million in a period of eight years for the construction of the track road.
