Dashain dole recipients grilled

The Royal Commission for Corruption Control (RCCC) today grilled four recipients of Dashain expenditure, two officials of the department of forest and an official of the Melamchi

Drinking Water Project for their possible involvement in financial irregularities.

Prem Raj Karki, spokesperson for the commission, said four recipients of the Dashain expenditure — Manav Sejuwal, Him Bahadur Shah, Chetman Shrestha and Khadga Bahadur Sijapati — were interrogated.

It also grilled district forest officers Kamal Bhakta Shrestha of Kathmandu and Shanta Mani Tamrakar of Kavre for their possible involvement in irregularities while awarding contracts.
