Daughter education insurance launched

Daughter education insurance programme has been implemented in Province 2 under Chief Minister’s Educate Daughter, Save Daughter campaign.
Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut last Sunday said the programme that started at eight local levels would be implemented at all local levels in the province with effect from January 15. According to Raut, the government would insure that every girl child born after January 15 would be provided with an insurance of Rs 125,000. The province government has signed the agreement with Prabhu Bank for the same.
CM Raut said that the province government would deploy volunteers to make the daughter insurance programme a success.
Photos of the newborn girl, citizenship certificate of parents, birth certificate and ward recommendation letter are required for insurance.
CM Raut said his government would launch public service commission preparation classes at every local level. He claimed the insurance programme would start yielding outcome very soon.
Once the province government deposits money in a single package, the bank provides Rs 125,000 to girls. In case, she requires money for education, the insured girl can withdraw money at the recommendation of the province government.
