TANAHUN: A daughter has been performing 13-day rituals of her deceased father in Bandipur VDC of Tanahun district.

Central committee member and former minister Durga Shrestha, along with her brother, has been performing the rites in order to disseminate the message of non-discrimination between daughter and son. Though, traditionally sons are supposed to carry out the rites after his parent’s death, she said she would stand firm on her resolve to perform every rite during the 13 days.
