Body of missing girl found in Chitwan

CHITWAN: The body of a girl, who went missing in the Narayani River while taking snap, was found on the river bank on Thursday.

The body of Smita Gyawali (18) of Gaindakot municipality, Nawalparasi was found after five days she went missing, confirmed the District Police Office, Chitwan.

A team deputed from the Ward Police Office, Narayangarh, found the dead body on the Narayani River bank at 5 am this morning.

It is learned that she skidded off and plunged into the river last Sunday while taking a selfie and went missing in the river.

The police and locals were active in the search operation, shared Police Inspector Satya Narayan Thapa.

He informed that the body was found some 50 metres away from the incident site.
