Death toll in Ramche bus accident rises to 33

DHADING: After three persons  succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot, the death toll in Ramche bus accident has climbed to 33.

According to the District Police Office, Rasuwa, the incident site is 12 km drive from Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa.

It has been learned that there were 70 persons on board the ill-fated bus when the incident occurred.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be established.

Police personnel and locals are carrying out the rescue operations.

Death toll climbs to 30 in Rasuwa bus accident: CDO

KATHMANDU: As many as 30 dead bodies are confirmed dead in passenger bus accident at Ramche of Rasuwa district in central Nepal, Chief District Office of Rasuwa Shiva Ram Gelal said.

According to him, 35 injured were rescued and sent to Trishuli of Nuwakot for treatment.

Among the victims who lost their life were 12 males and 18 females.

The ill-fated passenger bus, which was overcrowded with many passengers travelling on the rooftop, was heading to Kathmandu from Rasuwa when it veered off the road and plunged more than 100 metres down, killing most of the victims on the spot.
