DFO staff pool in for compensation

BIRGUNJ: A meeting of the staff of District Forest Office, Parsa decided to grant financial assistance to the family members of Ram Lal Shah, a staff of the DFO, Rautahat who was killed while performing his duty.

The officials of DFO, Parsa decided to grant the assistance as per their ranks—five days salary for DFO chief, three days salary for officer level, two day salary for Group D level and a day’s salary for forest guards.

Chief of DFO, Parsa Arun Kumar Shrivastav after the meeting informed media persons that they had decided to grant financial assistance as the economic condition of the deceased was very poor.

Shah who was a forest guard working for DFO, Rautahat was killed in a cross fire with wood smugglers on Saturday, December 19.

DFO, Parsa staffers even organised a protest rally that emerged from the office located in Chakaiya main road and toured around the city.

After the incident DFOs of Parsa, Bara and Rautahat have tightened security to prevent such incidents in the future.
