BHOJPUR: A 66-year-old person died in Maunabudhuk village of Dhankuta today after a bullet mistakenly hit him.

Dhan Bahadur Rai died on the spot while a bullet from a loaded gun landed on him in Maunabudhuk-1 on Thursday.

Local Nanda Lal Rai had opened the fire targeting a monkey that was on a mango tree, at around 7 pm yesterday, police said.

Nanda Lal has been nabbed by a police team deployed from the Rajarani Area Police Post for further investigations.
