Public Health Office Dhankuta is set to administer medicine against filariasis for the tenth time from April 2 in the district.

The health office has scheduled to administer the medicine against filariasis for the tenth time after filariasis cases were found in all seven local levels, said Public Health Office Chief Tulashi Prasad Guragain.

It is learnt that the health office is preparing to administer the anti-filariasis medicine to 164,000 people leaving aside people with chronic illness, pregnant women and children below the age of 2. "Filariasis is supposed to come under control after taking the medicine for six years continuously. But, the health office is preparing to administer the drug for the tenth time after filariasis cases were detected," said the health office.
