Dhanusha leaders of big parties held on public offence charge
JANAKPURDHAM: A public offence case has been filed against district leaders of CPN Maoist Centre, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal and Nepali Congress parties among eight in Dhanusha district on Sunday.
Maoist leader Ram Chandra Mandal, FSN-N's Ram Sukhi Yadav and NC's Ram Baran Paswan among others were indicted by police today.
Earlier, police had arrested 12 on charge of mobbing and breaking the peace of society, but freed four of them after they were found innocent.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, DSP Nakul Pokharel, said police received remand from the District Administration Office to continue detention of eight others and further investigation is underway.

Earlier on Saturday, NC's Paswan and FSF-N's Yadav had a fight over formation of a consumer committee for construction of the Janata Secondary School building and toilet with the investment of Rs 3 million, in Rajaul, Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-14.
Though the situation was approaching toward normalcy after the arrest, SP Ram Dutta Joshi said, some Maoist leaders of the district misbehaved with police in connection to the same case which sparked the tension again.
Meanwhile, FSF-N district chairman Shesh Narayan Sadav accused police of arresting political leaders in a brutal manner and said his party would protest against the DPO chief SP Joshi.
