People displaced due to the armed conflict celebrated Chhath in their own village this year after a long time.

Most devotees staying in the district headquarters due to conflict returned to their villages on the occasion of Chhath. Earlier, the displaced from eastern and northern regions of Dhanusha district had been celebrating all festivals in the headquarters. Leaders of parties welcomed their return. Shyam Yadav of the NC said the parties have always urged the displaced to return home
