Displaced to return to their villages

Surkhet, June 18:

Over 100 displaced people of Jumla, who are staying at Surkhet, are going to return to their villages.

Partnership Support Centre Jumla, with the assistance of International Committee of Red Cross, Karitas, Action Aid and B Group, is taking initiatives for the resettlement of the displaced.

Jumla Coordinator of B Group, Kishor Neupane, speaking at a discussion organised by the NGO Federation in Birendranagar today, said the displaced will be returned to their villages by mid-July.

He said they are busy collecting data of those persons displaced from Jumla.

Arrangements have been made for food, clothes and the education of children for three months after they are resettled in their homes, Neupane said.

Maoist district member Jeet Bahadur Rana, Kamalraj Regmi of Nepali Congress (NC), Shyam Bharati of NC (Dand Narayan BK of NGO Federation said their organisations would help the displaced return homes.
