District technicians’ office unlocked

Following an agreement, Consumers’ Struggle Committee today unlocked the District Technicians’ Office, Rautahat.
The struggle committee had padlocked the office demanding payment for completed projects on Wednesday.
Development projects under Constitunecy-3 Parliament Development Fund and Constituency Infrastructure Development Special Programme were completed in four municipalities three months ago. Irate members of consumers’ committee had padlocked the office of technicians demanding payment.
The padlock was opened after reaching a three-point agreement at the initiative of Chief District Officer Govind Prasad Rijal. As per the agreement, technicians will write to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration for the release of the remaining budget.
Chief District Officer Rijal said they had already informed the ministry and they would implement the order sent by the ministry.
