DCO Morang scraps dozen cooperatives
MORANG: The Division Cooperative Office (DCO), Morang has scrapped licences of a dozen non-functioning cooperatives in the district.
According to Office Chief Gopi Prasad Ghimire, the licences were scrapped at the end of the fiscal year 2015/16 citing the reasons of their passive functioning.
Most of the cooperatives were based on the rural outskirts of Morang district.
As many 31 cooperatives were annulled last year while there are 1,073 registered cooperatives in Morang, said the DCO.
