Locals of Kalaiya-8 have alleged that a one-month-old baby of Shyam Babu Shah, of Kalaiya-8, died due to carelessness on the part of proprietor of Kalaiya Polytechnic Dr Kamarul Hak and his wife Johara Khatun. They beat up the couple on Sunday.

Dr Hak said, “As the baby was suffering from chest problem 10 days ago, I suggested that the baby be given cough syrup. However, the child was brought to my clinic on Sunday morning, seven hours after his death.” The Bara District Police Office has taken Hak under control for security.
