Dr. Jasmita Balampaki, a medical officer at District Hospital Bajura, said goodbye to the hospital after serving patients for three years. Throughout her time in Bajura, Jasmita earned the hearts of many by not only caring for patients but also saving their lives by giving blood.

Jasmita's dedication to her patients was evident when she donated a pint of blood to save the life of 51-year-old Dhan Bahadur Dadal. Dhan Bahadur had a severe case of anaemia and desperately needed "A positive" blood, which was not available at the hospital. Without any hesitation, Jasmita donated her own blood to save the patient's life.

During her stay at Bajura, Dr Jasmita successfully performed operations on 25 expectant women who were unable to give birth naturally. According to Bajura Hospital, all procedures were completed successfully, and the newborns were delivered healthy.

Dr. Jasmita Balampaki had received specialized training in emergency obstetric care services The Nick Simons Institute, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population had deployed her to the District Hospital in Bajura.

The hospital has suffered a loss with Jasmita's departure from Bajura, especially for the female patients who felt comfortable discussing their problems with her, Staff nurse Nisha Rokaya said while adding that Dr Jasmita's absence would be felt in the care and health examination of women because women tend to open themselves more readily to female doctors.

"Dr Jasmita's dedication to the well-being of her patients is indescribable. She was constantly putting patients first," according to Badimalika Municipality 9 Ward Chairman Dharmaraj Padhyay, and her dedication would always be remembered.

"Her passion for her patients and dedication to patient care will never be forgotten," claimed Ammar Khadka Mayor of Badimalika Municipality.
