Up to Rs 80,000 have been collected for the treatment of the injured in the ongoing democratic movement of seven political parties in Itahari, of which Rs 35,000 have already been given to those hospitalised, according to the Agitation Mobilisation Committee. Organisations such as Ex-armymen’s Association, Shanti Nagar, Community Forest Consumers’ Committee, Saraswati Community, Forest Consumers’ Committee, workers and staff of JBS Industry have contributed to the fund.

Elsewhere, the bank employees of Bara district have decided to donate one day’s salary for the treatment of the agitators injured in the ongoing stir. Apart from that Kalaiya Branch of Agricultural Development Bank collected Rs 1,650, Armritgunj, Nijgadh and Bariyarpur ADB branches Rs 650 each and Kalaiya Branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank Rs 7,990 for the treatment of the injured.

The staff of Bara District Court expressed solidarity to the ongoing movement of the seven political parties by not joining duty for an hour from 10 am to 11 am yesterday.

Meanwhile, People of Newar community in Dhading, supporting the ongoing movement of seven political parties, staged a rally in the district headquarter today, in which the rallyists chanted pro-democracy slogans.

Meanwhile, with the initiative of Indian political parties and the civil society, a sit-in protest was organised in India’s Jogbani, backing the democratic movement of the seven political parties today.

At the protest organised by Jogbani Civil Forum, businessmen of Arariya District (India), entrepreneurs, physicians, teachers, students and civilians attended the protest that started in the morning. Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Sukhdev Paswan, chairperson of Jogbani Municipality Bhola Tiwari, former member of RJD Zakir Anwar, District Secretary of CPI Sudip Tarafdar and representative of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Barun Mishra were present at the protest rally. The protest was organised on the Indo-Nepal border.
