KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala has met Connie Hedegaard, the Climate Action Commissioner at the European Commission, in Brussels. During the meeting, Koirala briefed Hedegaard on the impact of climate change on Nepal's mountainous terrains and pleaded for support from international communities including the EU to combat climate change. According to the Embassy of Nepal, Brussels, Belgium, Hedegaard said that Nepal would be entitled to climate change support from the EU by this year.
