DADELDHURA: A driver was killed while the co-driver sustained serious injuries in a truck accident in Dadeldhura district on Sunday.

Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahendra Nepal confirmed the death of the driver identified as Omprakash Pant, 35.

The co-driver of the truck Madan Saund, 18, was critically injured in the incident.

The truck (Na 6 Kha 3817), en route from Dhangadi to Accham, fell some 250 metres at Salaghari of Amargadhi Municipality-11 in Dadeldhura, said Police.

Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident while an investigation into the case is underway, police added.
