JHAPA: A rickshaw puller Dilliram Dahal was murdered last night by his passenger following a minor dispute in Mechi Nagar of Jhapa, police said.

The 36-year-old Dahal of Handkhola in Duhagadhi–7 was stoned to death by Bibek Chaudhary (28) of Mechi Nagar–2, said Inspector, Shyam Krishna Adhikari, of Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta.

The drunken Chaudhary had boarded Dahal's rickshaw as a passenger, but later got into a minor dispute with the latter, investigations revealed.

Chaudhary is currently under the custody at the Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta. A murder case will be filed against him.
