e-education to be implemented in Panchthar, Jhapa districts

Electronic education programme will be implemented in lower and higher secondary schools of Panchthar and Jhapa districts from January 1.

United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia, USA, is funding the programme in coordination with Equality Foundation Nepal. The implementation of the programme will ensure international standard in teaching learning activities in the schools.

Equality Foundation has informed that the e-education system will be launched in 20 schools of Panchthar in the first phase. The foundation further informed that it has been making preparations to launch the programme in campuses of the district as well.

Meanwhile, Coordinator Radha Krishna Neupane of the foundation said that 20 computers and projectors each will be provided to 20 schools and internet facility will be installed in all the schools. “One technician each in 20 schools to operate the system will be placed in the primary phase,” he said.
