Eastern people benefit from cancer treatment at proximate hospital

PATHARI: People in east Nepal are freed from hassles for cancer treatment after introduction of chemotherapy at Biratnagar-based Koshi Zonal Hospital.

With the introduction  of chemotherapy, now the cancer patients in Eastern Development Region are able to receive treatment at the nearby hospital; and they do not need to travel to Chitwan or Kathmandu anymore.

According to Hospital's Cancer Disease Specialist. Dr Rangeen Kathet, over 400 patients of cancer have so far received its service within first four months since the beginning of the service.
