Kavre, April 9 As per the government plan to conduct a nationwide economic census this year, authorities in Kavre have started preparations for the same. The census is being conducted by the Central Department of Statistics through its economic census branches with the technical and theoretical assistance of the Government of Japan. Officer at the Economic Census Office, Kavre, Dinanath Lamsal says his office is all set to start the census in the district from April 14. “Keeping the date in mind, we have already provided training to census takers,” he said, adding that some 65 census takers, including 10 supervisors, had completed their five-day training course yesterday and were ready for deployment. Lamsal further said that the census will collect data, including the details of family members, their annual income, employment status, and the amount of capital, loan and the likes. Besides the paper form, the respondents can fill the data on their own using online forms. As per the latest census, the district has a population of 394,000, excluding those who are living abroad.
