BANEPA: As many as eight gamblers were rounded up along with Rs 379,000 in cash from Kavre on Sunday.

The arrested have been identified as  Binod Sapkota (27) of Nasikasthan; Sagarnath Lamichane (36) of Gairibisauna –7; Suresh KC (43) of Banepa Municipality – 10; Surendra Thapa (33) of Ugratara – 8; Badri Bhole (73) of Bhaktapur – 12; Santosh Kumar Subedi (22) of Okhaldunga; Sangita Tamang (24) of Kathmandu and Ganga Thapa (27), of Khoplang – 4 in Gorkha.

The District Court Kavrepalanchok on Sunday extended the custody of the gamblers for further investigation,   DSP of Kavre District Police Office, Dhulikhel, Nabinraj Rai said. They will be tried under the Gambling Act.
