Around 30 UCPN-Maoist cadres attacked them indiscriminately with stones and canes, while they were participating in a rally organised by the All Nepal Youth Union to pressure for timely statute.

Critically injured Tilak Thapa and Chitra Thapa are undergoing treatment at Charak Hospital in Pokhara. RJN leader Akash Gautam said that Maoist cadres attacked his party cadres despite requesting them not to attack.
