Rajbiraj, December 2:

Police today arrested eight student leaders while attempting to padlock the Saptari District Administration Office.

The students had been demanding that the families of the two Saptari-based students, who were killed in a road mishap, be compensated.

Rupum Dev and Kashi Prasad Dev of Saptari were killed when a microbus hit them in Kathmandu 10 days ago. Central vice-chairman of Students’ Forum Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus Free Students’ Union president Kedar Prasad Yadav, secretary Shambu Yadav and member Yogendra Prasad Shah were among those held.
