URLABARI: An elderly woman drowned in a swamp at Jharsadhi in Madumalla-7 of Morang district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rupmaya Darji (73), local of the same area.

Darji had reportedly fell into the swamp while returning home from Urlabari at around 8:30 pm.

Locals informed police after they saw the body in the swamp.
