KATHMANDU:  The Election Commission has expressed ‘shock’ over the recent incidents of violence in some districts.

The polls panel on Friday  said incidents of violence had created obstruction in the candidates’ right to carry out their polls campaign. The polls panel has urged the government to take precautionary security measures to ensure the candidates and voters to exercise their rights.

The polls panel urged all not to do any anti-poll activities. The Nepali Congress has also condemned the bomb attack targeting its leaders Ram Sharan Mahat and Ramesh Kumar Mahat in Nuwakot.
