Election fever grips people in Dhading

Dhading, April 13

As the date for civic polls approaches, political parties have intensified their election campaigns in different village areas of Dhading.

Leaders and cadres of different political parties were busy organising the assemblies and meetings among other election campaigns in different wards as per the new structure.

Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre have launched election-centred activities to ensure that their candidates receive the votes. The smaller parties too are engaged in similar work, but not as seriously as the larger parties.  The two municipalities of Dhading and the 13 rural municipalities in the district will witness competition among the NC, UML and CPN-MC.

The role of RPP and Naya Shakti, among other parties might reportedly prove decisive in some wards and rural municipalities.

Political parties are organising door-to-door campaigns with different policies and programmes to seek votes. They are now busy with election campaigns and selection of right and capable candidates for the polls.

District Chairman Bhumi Tripathi of UML said the selection of candidates from his party would be decided by April 19. Similarly, the NC and CPN-MC have also been working to finalise their candidates.

The District Election Office, Dhading said information of polling centres has been sent to the election office after observation.
