Embezzlement slur on Praja body

Tek Bahadur Chepang, the Dhading chairman and central member of Nepal Chepang Association has asked the CIAA to investigate the activities of the Praja Development Programme (PDP). Releasing a statement today he accused the PDP of embezzling Rs 200,000 allocated to distribute clothes to Chepang children. The statement claimed that the Dhading District Development Committee had invited a tender for the clothes for only 250 kids when the amount released for the purchase was sufficient to buy clothes for 400 children.
