DAMAULI, JANUARY 12
Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel today said the obstruction seen at the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court should end at the earliest.
Addressing his party's programme at Bandipur of Tanahun Constituency-1, Paudel reiterated that the deadlock seen in the House of Representatives and the SC should end as early as possible.
"Failing to end the deadlock in the House and the SC will lead the country to failure," said Paudel.
Paudel recounted that he had met with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli at his residence to end the stalemate seen in both places. He said that he had urged the UML to forge consensus and understanding to give a way out to the country and people.
Paudel said that he would never compromise with anyone on democracy and freedom.
On the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Paudel argued that discussion and deliberation on any foreign project would not make any difference," he added.
NC leader Poudel also said consensus between the ruling and opposition parties would give momentum to development and prosperity in the country.
