Energy bank branch in Jhapa

Jhapa, August 1:

Clean Energy Development Bank (CBDB) today established its branch office in Biratmod of Jhapa district.

“The branch office is the first one established after its central office based at Sitapaila in Kathmandu,” executive director of the bank, Manoj Goyal said.

CEDB was established in September 2006. The Netherlands-based FMO Bank owns 14 per cent share in the bank, Goyal said, adding that another Dutch based Tradas Renewal Development Fund Bank also has partnership in the bank. According to Goyal, Provident fund, water resources experts, traders and other banks have invested in the bank.

The bank collected the deposit of Rs 1.83 billion rupees and the flow of loans were equivalent to Rs 1.5 billion till mid-July this year, Goyal said, adding that the bank generated net profit of Rs. 13.9 million till the mid-July this year.
