Landslide buries excavator, driver rescued alive
GORKHA: An excavator driver was rescued alive with minor injuries after getting buried under a heap of a mound that fell upon the excavator while digging a road at Dyachok of Ajirkot Rural Municipality-1 in Gorkha.
The man has been identified as Tenjing Tamang (36) of Syabung-6 in Dhading district. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon.
Election official Ujjwal Giri, Inspector Netra Prasad Bhatta and Armed Police Force personnel with the help of local residents rescued him from the site, police said.
