Fair investigation into minors’ death sought

Bhojpur, August 2

The CPN-UML-affiliated youth organisation Yuba Sangh Nepal today demanded a fair investigation into the mysterious death of three minors in Pyauli of Arun Rural Municipality at the earliest.

Taking out a rally in Bhojpur Bazaar today, the youth organisation of the UML demanded immediate probe into the heart-rending incident.

“Though the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police is investigating the incident, it has not said anything about the work progress,” said YSN.

Representatives of the organisation met Chief District Officer Goma Devi Chemjong and drew her attention to the need for a fair probe. CDO Chemjong said they would soon solve the mystery behind the deaths. The minors had gone out of family contact on June 24. They were found dead on June 26. Rabindra Sapkota’s son Ranjit Sapkota, 14, and Chet Nath Phuyal’s 13-year-old daughter Sushma and eight-year-old son Pradip had drowned in a fish pond owned by local Toran Karki.
