KAILALI: Police in Kailali district reportedly arrested a septuagenarian man on the charge of killing his son over a land dispute in Rampur of Ghodaghodi Municipality, on Tuesday night.

Rajmani Rokaya (72)  had allegedly attacked his son Karna Rokaya (43) with a khukuri over the dispute, injuring him critically at around 11:30 pm yesterday, according to the District Police Office.

The critically injured Rokaya succumbed to injuries while being rushed to Kohalpur-based Nepalgunj Medical College, in Banke district, referred by a local health institution where he had received the primary treatment.

Meanwhile, the Area Police Office, Sukhad, has taken the accused under control and further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
