INARUWA: A fire had damaged property worth Rs 4 million at Haripur VDC-7 Bhantabari of Sunsaari  district on Wednesday night.

The fire engulfed eight houses of the area damaging millions of rupees, confirmed the Sunsari District Police Office.

Local eye witness said that the fire was broken out from the petroleum products stored in the corner of a house.

The property of  Mukesh Shrestha, Chhjotu Khatwe, Janardan Kamait, Suksen Kamait and Binod Sharma had turned into ashes by the fire, informed Mikaile Alam, a local.

Local residents including Shivendra Karna, his wife Susmita Karna and his mother were injured in the fire incident.

The fire was doused with the help of fire engine of Inaruwa municipality, local people, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.
