RAJBIRAJ: Property worth around Rs one million was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at Laxmanpatti in Kanchanpur Municipality-10 of Saptari on Saturday.

According to Inspector Gaurav Mahat of the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur, the fire had started from the cowshed of Mangal Chaudhary and engulfed his three houses yesterday night.

Police said that three other houses were also destroyed in the fire.

It has been learned that the fire had spread from a natural mosquito repellent.

The blaze was later taken under control with the help of locals and police personnel.
