First community library in Kalikot

KALIKOT: The first community library is going to be established in Manma, district headquarters of Kalikot district.

Chairman of Arts Nepal and litterateur Krishna Raj Dhamala said that the library would help provide skills and knowledge to the people.

He said that so far a total of 500 books have been collected from Kalikot and other districts.

A study is also needed to protect culture of the entire Karnali region, which is also the origin of Khas language, Dhamala further stated.

The library shall have the books on agriculture, politics, philosophy and other genres.

According to litterateur Durga Kafle, the library would be brought into operation within a month.
