Floods affect life in lower Mustang

Floods triggered by rains continuing for one week have crippled life in lower Mustang.

According to the Mustang District Administration Office, two people died in flood at Kowang-7 a week ago.

Chief district officer Pradip Raj Kandel said the police and locals rescued two others, including 72-year-old Kaila Gauchan, from the same place.

Floods have also damaged two concrete houses, three mud-built houses and a water mill. Seven flood-affected families have been taking refuge at a Buddhist shrine nearby.
