FNJ flays vandalism at Sarlahi radio station

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists has expressed its serious concerns towards an incident of vandalism at the Radio Madhes FM station, Sarlahi by a group of around 15 people on Thursday evening.

According to FNJ Sarlahi district chapter, the door, furniture and windows were completely destroyed when some 15 people broke the main gate and forcefully entered the radio station for vandalism, FNJ General Secretary Ujir Magar said in a statement today.

Broadcasting of the radio station was also interrupted due to security reasons.

The umbrella organisation of Nepali journalists has urged the concerned authorities to investigate into the case and take action against the culprit.
