ACHHAM: Attempts are being made to supply food to Achham district under escort of security personnel.

“As per the direction of the Home Ministry, we are bringing rice to Achham from Dhangadhi,” Acting Chief District Officer of Achham Gyanraj Koirala said. In the first phase, 500 quintals of rice would be brought to the district, he said.

Food supply has come to a halt in hilly districts of the far-western development region after traders associated with the Kailali Chambers of Commerce and Industry enforced a bandh, demanding an end to the syndicate system.
