Former Princess Prerana has a blood clot in brain vessel

KATHMANDU: Former Princess Prerana, who was admitted to the Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu on Friday after suffering from a stroke, has been diagnosed with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, which means a blood clot is present in her brain vessel.

She is in a stable condition, the hospital said in a statement today.

Consultant neurologist at the hospital, Dr Pankaj Jalan, and her family physician, Dr Kishore Jung Rana, are attending to the former princess, according to the hospital.

Prerana is daughter of former King Gyanendra and former Queen Komal.
