Malla was undergoing treatment at Lalitpur-based hospital for Covid-19

DHANGADHI, MAY 27

Former governor of Sudurpaschim province, Mohan Raj Malla has passed away while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 infection at Nidan Hospital, in Lalitpur, on Thursday.

Malla, who was receiving treatment for pneumonia for a long time, was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

He died at 7:00 am today, informed his former personal secretary Dhan Singh Saud.

Malla was active in politics for over four decades and had been a member of Rastriya Panchayat and Nepali Congress General Working Committee.

He is survived by two children.
