Foundation stone laid for irrigation project

Bhadrapur, January 17

Minister for General Administration Keshav Kumar Budhathoki today said irrigation facilities give life to farmers.

Speaking at a foundation stone laying ceremony of Majhaula Irrigation Project today in Taghandubba VDC of Jhapa, Budhathoki said the irrigation would bring huge changes in the life of farmers and lead the country towards prosperity.

Irrigation Division Office Bhadrapur Chief Ishwori Prasad Tiwari said that the 3-km irrigation facility would irrigate more than 205 hectare cultivable land.

It is said the project will be completed at a cost of Rs 38.4 million within six months.

Meanwhile, Minister Budhathoki also laid the foundation stone of a building of the under-construction Sanomai Irrigation Project.
