Laying the foundation stone for the same road twice might come as a surprise to many. But, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today laid the foundation stone of Sahajpur-Bogtan-Dipayal section for the second time in Doti.

Foundation stone of the road was first laid by the then Doti District President of Panchayat and Provincial Assembly member Bharat Bahadur Khadka some 31 years ago.

Oli, however, laid the foundation stone of the road saying it was for black-topping. PA lawmaker Khadka said he was taken aback after Oli laid the foundation stone of the same road. “Foundation stone of every project is laid once and inaugurated once. Those people who got Oli to lay the foundation stone of the road for the second time made him a butt of jokes,” Khadka commented.

Laying the foundation stone, Oli assured to take an initiative to resolve other problems in the district. Locals had submitted a memorandum with a charter of demands.
