Four arrested for alleged robbery from Dhangadi

Dhangadi, November 5

District Police Office, Kailali arrested four persons for allegedly robbing a man of cash and other valuables from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis in Kailali on Thursday.

The arrested have been identified as Madhav Jaishi of Beldangi-Kanchanpur, Lokesh Urf Aman of Jayaprithivi Municipality, Janak Thapa of Chainpur of Bajhang and Ramesh Saud of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis. They were made public today.

Earlier, Harish Jaishi of Jayaprithivi Municipality was robbed of Rs 1,065,000 along with other valuable ornaments from Traffic Chowk, Dhangadhi on November 2.

SP Rajendra Bista of Kailali said police have confiscated Rs 156,135 from Jaishi, Rs 178,835 from Lokesh and a gold ring worth Rs 26,000 and Rs 200,000 from Ramesh. He said the police have also seized a scooty used in the robbery. SP Bista said that two others Gajendra Shahi and Suraj Bom of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis who were also allegedly involved in the robbery, have been absconding.

SP Bista said a robbery case was filed against the four arrested at District Court in Kailali. The arrested are, now, in the custody of District Police Office, Kailali.
